I work for University since 2002 with very straightforward case hence suprised

Employer was able to speak to USICIS officer. He asked
whethere
1) I was contractor
2) from when I was employed
3) Work timings
4) exact office Location
my supervisor asked why all these questions about location and timing they said they will do a site visit
I feel if my app can trigger this than any other app could...
The USICs is just getting crazy with all the bueracacy crap
USCIS is not getting crazy ....It's preplanned well defined strategy to kick out immigrants ...first they choked the system so that everyone is stuck and now picking more & more people in the name of verification

The Immigration Nationality Act does not say specifically that h4 time is added towards h1 time. It is the way laws interpreted by uscis that states h4 time counted towards H1. USCIS can change their interpretation by merely issuing a memo.

I'm not a lawyer, but my assumption would be that this is cannot be changed by an USCIS memo. Why? Because H4 is simply a derivative status which means that it obeys all the rules pertinent to the primary beneficiary's status plus additional restrictions imposed to the particular classification by law. H status is restricted to 6 year continuous presence in the US.
It would be helpful to find the definition of a derivative status; INA does not provide such definition, but I'm sure they wouldn't be using these words loosely without a proper definition.
So my guess would be is that the answer to the question of "decoupling" H4 and H1b time will boil down to the answer to another question: what really defines a derivative status.

But Mr Gutierrez thinks otherwise. Hispanic Democrats know very well that if Legals get any reprieve, then the fate of undocumented provisions is for sure dead. That's why all legal provisions have been held hostage.
Unfortunately, legal immigration doesnot have any representation in the senate to work for our interests.
Suprisingly, majority of the Americans favor legal immigration over undocumented, and any legal provisions will have public support. A few senators are playing dirty politics and holding thousands of legalites ransom. If CIR fails, I would hope/pray these Hispanic Democrats don't get elected in mid-term so that we can move forward
catch 22 both ways! One way or the other we are joined at the hip to the Hispanic community.

To my surprise, today I got a electricity bill from Nov11 2008 to Jan23 2009 a total of :mad::mad::mad:$979.00 :mad::mad::mad:
I leave in a single bed room ground floor 785 Sq ft.
I have called the customer service for dispute and investigation.:mad::mad::mad:
Has any one encountered this kind of problems with electricity department. please enlighten !!!

i heard that if you use electric tooth brush.. they will reject your checks...since you are using too much electricity. please check with ur attorney if they are using electric tootthbrush or electric shaver.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.
I had the camera sent to Nikon for diagnosis last week, they wrote me an email just a few days back saying my power module had problems and it needed to be replaced. I requested they return the problematic power module so I could send it to an engineer friend of mine for examination. I'll let you guys know if I find anything new.
Just 4 days ago Tantrik wrote me a message saying the same happened to him. I wonder if this is a problem with the D70 model because I've never seen Nikon equipment break so easily and I honestly did not expect to hear the same happened to someone else.
Plus, as I explained, I did nothing to cause the problem. The camera laid there for a few days and when I turned it back on it was already bad.
Total Cost for fix : U$ 300.00
Nikon USA said they'd replace the camera for me but I bought it in Brazil. The local Nikon people charged me the above fee to fix it. Down here a D70 costs between U$ 2300,00 and even U$ 4000.00 in some shops. So the fix is worth it.
If this is a structural problem with the D70 I will sell it and move to Canon. I just don't want to believe Nikon is making such disposable equipment.
The camera was not purchased from the gray market and I have a proper tax receit with it.
Thanks again for the replies and please let me know if you find anything else about this problem.
